Best Seller Or Best Give Away For Freer?

This post sort of goes along with my previous post about whether or not one is really an “award winning author” or not.  Seems to me that a lot of authors, particularly self-published ones, want to make themselves seem more prominent than they really are.  In a way, I understand that.  It is hard being an author.  I know, being one myself.  We would all like recognition.  But, like I said in my post about “award winning authors” who get some token award and then tout it as some grand credential, “the only person you are cheating is yourself,” when that recognition is overhyped. Should I Name My Chapters Or Not

I was sitting around last night with some writer’s block and just on a whim I started naming the chapters of my novel. I know some authors do this but I am not sure how common it is. Most books I read don’t have their chapters named.

Most of the titles I gave to my chapters are pretty lame, cryptic hints at what the chapter is going to contain. Although some I really do like, especially the first chapter’s name. Which I think I am going to make the actual title of my novel thus making project “Dark Moon” officially called “Under The Darkened Moon”.

I like it. Still don’t know about the chapter names however.
