August 2020 Update!
Ugh, so it’s been a while, hasn’t it? I know I’m really terrible about keeping this site updated. I’m trying to be better!
So, since last I posted, the Open Novella Contest on Wattpad has wrapped up. The Sharded Blade (Book 1: Ghosts of the Past) performed well enough to get an honorable mention. But did not win. I did hit all the goals (2k, 8k, and 20k) so that was something, at least.
Oh, well. It happens.
Daughters of Fate Book 3 is now up to Chapter 31. Wow! Chapter 31! Can’t say how many more there are to go over on Wattpad, me being a pantser and all. But the conclusion to my epic fantasy trilogy is coming up soon. Looks like Book 3 will hit about the 120k mark.
Daughters of Fate Book 1 is getting some edits. Basically expanding the descriptions and doing sentence structure edits. Stuff like that. The plot is the plot, as they say. That isn’t changing. Edits have been completed through Chapter 13 as of right now.
There is also another new chapter for Episode 2 of Tales of the Inglorious Brotherhood coming soon. I am so sorry to the fans of this book. It really suffered (in terms of publication of new material) due to ONC. There just wasn’t enough time to publish new chapters of Daughters of Fate Book 3, meet the deadlines for Open Novella, AND keep up on TotIB.
Hoping to get back on track soon and really finish up Episode 2.
There are also some really exciting projects on the horizon once Daughters of Fate wraps up. I want to publish Part 2 of The Sharded Blade. And get Episode 2 of TotIB in the can so that Episodes 3 and 4 can get rolling and conclude Vol 1.
But, I also have these other ideas. Including a twisted tale of Christmas and a story about witches fighting demons based in the same world as my award-winning flash fiction, Nana’s Pet Demon. The Color of Rage (another short of mine) is looking at getting expanded into a full novel-length story title “Enraged”.
And, as everyone knows, Under the Darkened Moon is still hanging out there and waiting to be published. As are a plethora of other stories I have worked on over the years.
We’ll see where the rest of this year takes us, but it should be exciting. And who knows what 2021 has in store!
